We are focusing on the movements that are moving away from modernity, where the organization of society is based on the duopoly of state (the public) and capital (the private), and towards altermodernity, where the organization of society is based on the commons (the common). To put it more broadly, we are paying attention to the vectors that are heading away from inequality towards equality, away from unfairness towards fairness, away from extractive economic activities (accumulation of capital) towards generative economic activities (accumulation of commons), away from bureaucracy and representative system towards a participatory democracy of citizens themselves, away from ecological destruction towards the regeneration of ecology, away from domination over things towards comradeship with things.
